Who We Support
St. Leonard’s Place Peel supports men aged 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse, and/or involvement with the justice system. Eligibility varies by program and is based on each individual’s needs, goals, and circumstances.

Yes. Our housing programs and supports are designed specifically for men aged 18 and older.
Yes. Many individuals in our programs are working toward stability in their mental health and/or recovery from substance misuse. We offer wellness programming, addiction support groups, health supports, and coordinated access to community‑based services.

Yes. SLPP provides housing and supports for men who are or have been involved with the justice system, including individuals on release from federal institutions.

New Leaf Program: Self‑referrals are accepted.
Rotary Resolve House: Requires an internal SLPP referral.
Community Residential Program: Referrals are made through Correctional Service Canada (CSC) or by self‑referral while residing in a CSC facility.
Depending on the program, referrals may be accepted from community service providers, internally, or through CSC.

Individuals participating in the New Leaf Program and the Rotary Resolve House Program contribute rent based on their housing arrangement.

Supports & Services
Individuals have access to all essential supports, wellness programming, skill-building opportunities, and recreation and leisure activities. Supports vary by program and are tailored to each person’s goals, strengths, and needs.

Yes. Wellness programming, addiction support groups, health supports, and coordinated access to community-based services is available to all individuals seeking mental health or substance use support.
Yes. All housing programs provide nutritious meals prepared onsite 365 days a year by our food services team. Dietary accommodations for religious, spiritual, lifestyle, or medical needs may be available and can be discussed during the intake process.
No. SLPP does not provide emergency shelter services. The Out Of The Cold and In From The Heat programs are not available at this time.

Donations
There are many ways to support St. Leonard's Place Peel. You can make a one-time or monthly financial donation, contribute in-kind items, explore community or corporate partnerships, or consider legacy giving. Your contribution helps create a place where stability, opportunity, and positive change are possible.

Yes. We appreciate community members considering SLPP for gently used or new items; however, due to storage capacity and evolving needs, we may occasionally pause in‑kind donations.
Unscheduled drop‑offs cannot be accepted.

Food donations are accepted on a limited basis, and we ask that individuals contact us beforehand to confirm current needs and follow our donation guidelines.

Yes. Tax receipts are issued for eligible donations in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines.

St. Leonard’s Place Peel (SLPP) receives funding from Correctional Service Canada (CSC), Peel Region, and United Way Greater Toronto. Additional support comes from grants, community partnerships, and individual donations. Financial contributions help strengthen programs, enhance facilities, and ensure individuals have access to essential supports that promote stability, recovery, and long‑term independence.

We welcome collaboration and partnerships with organizations whose products, programs or services align with our Mission, Vision, and Values and support the needs of the individuals in our programs.

No. We do not offer a volunteer program at this time. Community members or groups can support SLPP through partnerships or donations.
General
Our housing programs operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Administrative services are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visitor access is guided by program policies to ensure safety and respect. Visitors are not permitted onsite without prior authorization or a scheduled appointment.
Drop‑in visits cannot be accommodated.

Yes. We offer limited placement opportunities for students enrolled in recognized programs at select colleges and universities. Due to the volume of requests, we are unable to offer placements to high school students, private‑college students, or students in programs not recognized by the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security.

No. We do not offer volunteer opportunities at this time.
